The cover for my upcoming debut novel A Master of Djinn got revealed this week. Welcome back to the world of an alternate 1912 Cairo, of steampunk, magic, and djinn. Oh, and everyone’s favorite dapper suit wearing investigator–complete with a bowler.
Have I really hemmed and hawed and procrastinated until the waning days of 2018 to do one of those SF/F award-y list-y things for the Hugos, Nebulas, and what-not? Absolutely and of course! Hopefully I caught ya’ll at a good time….
My latest published story The Paladin of Golota is out this month in Issue 37 of Heroic Fantasy Quarterly. It’s about a young boy who must decide whether to help a warrior fulfill her dying wish. Also, worms. Giant, man-eating, monstrous, demonic worms!
A few thoughts on my latest published short fantasy story “A Tale of Woe”–featuring a magic-wielding heroine gifted with a peculiar second sight, an insatiable goddess who feeds on the misery of mortals, and a city on the brink of disaster.
