Kicking off another year with this “for the good of the order” thing. Late but here. In this installment, I look back on 2018 in my SFF writing life–(big tings happened)–and what I might hope for in 2019. Here we go.
My latest published story The Paladin of Golota is out this month in Issue 37 of Heroic Fantasy Quarterly. It’s about a young boy who must decide whether to help a warrior fulfill her dying wish. Also, worms. Giant, man-eating, monstrous, demonic worms!
Making time to write ain’t easy. I’m stumbling through it like everyone else. But I think, at last, I may have found a way.
A few words on inspiration, plot and world building in my short story “The Angel of Khan el-Khalili.” A little bit Steampunk. A little bit Cairo. And Angels that grant miracles–of a sort.
